Today in the frame of the Kimbcn Conference 'Encouraging International Knowledge Exploitation' I realised those who begin with a unique service or product even for a small niche of the market have an opportunity to increase fast and get a quick ROI. These type of companies are called the Born Global Companies.
Canada as a country has been developing this concept since the early 90s said Phd. M.Thomas although the first one who said it was the Australian Michael Rennie. The difference of these type of companies is their Immediate Activity in the International Markets. Because of this, these companies are Adaptable, Flexible and Innovative.
In the World is growing a fertile Innovation Ecosystem which is driving an increase in the speed of emerging international opportunities with the called 6 Factor revenue. Which means it goes faster than traditional ones. So that, if you want to succeed you must think global since the very beginning.
Catalonia area is focusing on several entrepreneuship zones to allow this growing in traditional companies who would like to give the step on or to those like me who are creating innovative adventures.
A challenge posted during discussion was about the Management of Innovation, Knowledge. Therefore, raised this question:
- Could Companies loose their control of the Project at the end? Which business model should apply for?
The answer came from several other speakers:
- Open Innovation is not out of control because companies know when they want to be open and interact with others. In this case You want to be Found, and when they want to be with close access to public or limited to others. Companies decide When and Where and Who to Focus.
Another subject which came up during the conference was that many times Organisations cannot reach innovation in their own structure. In this case they must Overlap with others and support Innovations from the Top Management.
